a little bit about me
A colorado girl committed to the creative process, captivated by beauty, inspired by faith.
I want to use all the gifting I have in this life. Everything I've been given, all that I am, I want on the table to be spent in the best sense of the word. I was challenged recently, thinking about legacy. The question asked, "Is it possible the things you focus your time and energy on will be meaningless in 100 years?" It caused me pause. I am still pondering this, but I have come to believe that the presence and love I give to people, and the art I make both have a shot to impact the world beyond my lifetime.
As a child I was quickly captivated by visual art. I grew up watching my dad paint mountain scenes and portraits of Elvis. My mom lived creativity outside of the box with design, color and texture, always rearranging our living room, creatively feeding us, throwing parties and including me in her dreams. My parents faithfully placed me before new challenges and fanned flames of potential in me. I've had talented teachers who led me and faithful encouragers who have walked alongside me. Like any artist, I didn't get here by entirely by accident. I have been invested in and i am deeply grateful. I had the privilege of studying at Colorado State University and Santa Chiara in Castiglion Fiorentino, Italy.
the inspiration and the struggle
My world is beautiful and fast and full, and I am fighting to show up to make art. I am committed to the creative process because of what it creates in me, and what it can do for you. I create subject matter that blows my mind, often water and sky or light and vibrant color. I hope to share some of the wonder I have found in my world through the art that I make. My faith is inseparable from my world view, and through it I have found a constant source of encouragement and purpose. I don't always love the creative process, I struggle often, and some works don't turn out so awesome. But I have found power in showing up, in stepping out, and creating.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” -Dr Seuss
Some moments in this life will be burned on our hearts forever. We will come back to them time and time again, wishing we could do them over. They are the moments that remind us how good this life really is.
Wedding days are precious days. A wedding is the beginning of a new journey for a family. Often these days are filled with the most loved ones in one place at one time that will never be replicated. They are full of love and joy and celebrating. They are also fast as lightning. A blur.
I forgot to eat at my wedding. Too many people to hug and dance with.
I would love to help capture your day with paint and canvas. I will give you something that can hang on your walls to take you back to your favorite day on a regular ole Tuesday at home in your everyday life. Plus its fun to watch it come alive during your reception.
Are you dreaming of another moment you want to be remembered? I'd love to dream with you. Whether it is a corporate event or a house party, lets chat.
